Behind the Practice
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Confusion, anxiety, grief, longing, shame; every story is different. Sometimes the pain is obvious. Sometimes it’s more like a quiet background hum. In either case, I know how hard it can be to let someone in.
My path into psychology wasn’t linear. Like many of my clients, I’ve had to navigate questions of identity, sexuality, migration, and belonging; not just professionally, but personally. I was born and raised in Mexico and, over the years, I’ve built a life that spans cultures and countries. I completed my master’s and doctoral training in London (UCL), and worked in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States, and Mexico, in settings that have stretched me and shaped the way I listen, think, and relate.
All of this feeds the way I work: with curiosity, care, cultural awareness, and a refusal to reduce people to diagnoses or symptoms.
My Therapeutic Style
I’m not the kind of therapist who nods silently behind a clipboard, but I’m also not here to give you neat solutions. I believe therapy is a shared space, where we sit with complexity and uncover new ways of being.
My work is integrative and psychodynamic in nature. That means we pay attention to the deeper currents: your patterns, your relationships, the parts of your history that continue to shape the present. But we also stay grounded in the here-and-now, building insight and tools for everyday life.
Some clients want to explore specific issues like chemsex, self-esteem, anxiety or burnout. Others are seeking something less defined; a space to reflect, understand themselves better, or make sense of a difficult chapter.
Wherever you are, we start there.
Professional Background
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK and hold the EuroPsy Certification in Psychology, granted by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA). I am also officially recognised by the Dutch Ministry of Public Health, Welfare and Sport (CIBG) through registration in the BIG register for healthcare professionals.
My therapeutic training is integrative. I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and a qualified Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). These approaches, together with psychodynamic, trauma-informed and mindfulness-based methods, inform the way I work.
Alongside my clinical work, I’ve delivered consultation, supervision, and training across Europe and Latin America, especially in areas of LGBTQ+ mental health, chemsex, addiction, and identity development.
As part of my ongoing commitment to embodied, holistic care, I am also a certified Ashtanga Yoga teacher. This practice deepens my understanding of presence, discipline, and the body-mind connection.
I offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Dutch.
A Word on Transformation
Psychological work is rarely linear. At times, it’s slow. Messy. Tender. But when held with care, it can lead to profound inner shifts.
I see therapy as a kind of inner alchemy: a space where the raw, difficult material of life, like grief, confusion, desire, and rage, can be metabolised into something more integrated. Not “fixed,” but transformed. Understood. Humanised.
This kind of work isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about coming home to who you already are
